After the old filling and cavities were removed this patient had bonded porcelain veneers and crowns placed. All her teeth were whitened first and the restorative care allowed us to broaden her smile and change the shape of her teeth. The porcelain restorations blend into the bleached tooth structure. None of the porcelain margins are irritating her tissue by being under the gums. Not burying restorations below the gum line is critical for their long-term success. Chronically inflamed and bleeding gums, no matter what the cause, jeopardize teeth, restorations and even one’s general health.
